Policies and Procedures

Updated: January 10, 2026

Hey y’all! Welcome to Oklahoma Yoga. We are so grateful to have you in our community! We are deeply committed to providing a high-quality practice in a space that feels like a peaceful, cozy sanctuary.

Out of respect for our teachers, our students, and the sustainability of our studio, we honor your commitment to your practice with the following policies. These help us protect your time on the mat and keep our space running smoothly for everyone!

Creating a Peaceful Space

To keep our studio clean and tranquil, we aim for minimal foot traffic and operate primarily by appointment.

  • Appointments & Tours: We want to give you our full attention! Studio tours and private consultations are by appointment only. Please feel free to call or text us at (405)-351-4379 or email info@oklahomayoga.com to schedule a time to chat about your practice.

  • Open Hours: The studio is open during scheduled class times. While walk-ins are always welcome if space allows, we recommend checking the schedule first to ensure the class hasn’t been canceled due to low enrollment.

Booking Your Practice

Pre-registering via our app or website is the best way to guarantee your spot and help our teachers prepare a wonderful experience for you.

  • Registration: To join us, please ensure you have an active client portal, a saved payment method, and a signed digital waiver (required before your first class).

  • Elbow Room: We keep our classes small on purpose so you have plenty of room to move! Most classes cap at 16, though specialized sessions like Barre, POUND, or Chair Yoga may have smaller capacities.

  • When We Cancel: Y’all, we never like to cancel, but safety comes first. If the studio needs to cancel a class for any reason (inclement weather, teacher illness, or building issues), we will notify our students and community as soon as possible. All class credits will be promptly returned to the affected students’ accounts.

  • The 90-Minute Rule: If a weekly group class has 0–1 registrations 90 minutes before start time, we will cancel the session and notify any registered students.

  • Private Session Upgrade Program: If you happen to be the only one registered for a weekly group class 90 minutes to 2 hours before the start time, DeeDee or your teacher will reach out personally to offer you a special choice. We can upgrade your visit to a Private Session for just $30.

    • If you accept: We keep the class on the schedule just for you! You get a 1-on-1 session, and the $30 upgrade fee will be processed only after your session is over.

    • The Late-Joiner Clause: If other students register online or walk in before the curtain closes, the class will proceed as a normal group session, and the $30 upgrade fee will not be charged.

    • If you decline: That is totally fine! In this case, the class will be canceled per our 90-minute rule, and we will help you find another time to practice.

Cancellations & Respecting Time

  • Weekly Group Classes: Life happens, and so does the need to cancel. In these cases, please cancel at least 90 minutes before class. We offer a 30-minute grace buffer, but if a spot isn’t canceled at least 60 minutes before class (or in the case of a no-show), class pack holders lose 1 credit, and Unlimited Members are charged a $10 late fee.

  • Private Sessions & Classes: To honor our teachers’ dedicated time, private appointments and private group classes require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

Arrival & “Yoga-o-Clock”

  • Settling In: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Teachers use the time before that 10-minute mark to prep the space and get in “the zone” for you.

  • Our Signal: At class time, we lock the doors and close our studio curtain. Our “Yoga-o-Clock” sign is the signal to the world that we are in session.

  • The Door: Teachers allow a 5-minute buffer for students they know are running behind. However, once the door is locked and the curtain is closed, we will not answer the door for any reason. This protects the peace and focus of the students already on their mats.

Age Requirements & Family

  • General: Our regular classes are open to ages 12 and up. Students ages 12–15 must practice alongside a parent or guardian, while those 16+ may practice solo.

  • Kids Yoga: Our specialized kid-focused classes have their own unique requirements and capacities. Please check the class descriptions for more info!

Studio Heart & Etiquette

  • Final Sales: To keep our boutique studio sustainable, all sales are final. While we don’t offer refunds, we are happy to help with transfers to another student on a case-by-case basis with advance notice.

  • Scent & Sound: Please remove shoes upon entry. To keep the air clear for everyone, please skip heavy perfumes. We also ask that all cell phones be turned completely off or silenced (not vibrating) before you enter the practice space.

  • Mats: We believe in the quality of Manduka PRO and PROlite mats. Rentals are $5 (and always free for Unlimited Members!). We also sell these mats in-studio if you’d like to take one home.

  • Valuables: We provide cubbies in our “living room” area, but Oklahoma Yoga cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
